Mark Yoho is an evangelist from the Sugar Valley area. He and his wife, Gynnette, have served The Lord in full time ministry since 2007. Mark is the founder and President of the Fourth Watch Evangelistic ministries. This ministry takes part in open-air ministry (street preaching), itinerant preaching, children’s ministry, gospel tract design and distribution, jail ministry, and it utilizes many other avenues to reach the world with the gospel.

If you have been around the North Georgia area for a while you have probably seen Mark at a high school sporting event or parade handing out gospel tracts or simply holding a sign on the side of the road declaring, “JESUS SAVES!” He not only does this locally, but also at major events across the U.S. such as The Super Bowl, Marty Gras, and the Kentucky Derby to name a few.

Our partnership with the ministry God has given Mark Yoho will enable him to travel, preach the gospel, design gospel tracts, and provide for his family along the way. As a church, we will be able to receive updates from his ministry, encourage him, and even take part in his evangelistic efforts. This is a wonderful opportunity for HBC to BIBLICALLY provide for a ministry that is dedicated to reach the world with the Gospel!

Rickey and April Howard are from the Rydal, Ga. area and have answered God’s calling to be church-planting missionaries in the state of Utah. They have two sons, Cash and Carter, who are equally excited to plant churches in the Southwest United States. Rickey has completed three years of education at North Georgia Baptist College, and he plans to continue his education as time allows. While traveling the United States for work, Rickey and his wife began to see the lack of gospel-preaching churches outside of “the Bible Belt.” Burdened by what they saw, they began to earnestly pray what God would have them do to meet this need. Through much prayer, God confirmed that He was calling the Howard family to plant their first church in St. George, Utah.

Utah is one of the fastest growing states in America with a current population of around 3.3 million people. It is estimated that around 63% of the population is of the Mormon religion. It is evident that Utah is in desperate need of The Gospel, and the Howard family intents to meet this need by being church-planting missionaries. A church-planting missionary is different than being a local pastor. Rather than starting one church with the intent to stay there his whole life, a church-planting missionary’s goal is to start a church from scratch in an area that does not have a church. As the gospel is spread and people are saved it is the missionary’s job to disciple them. Through 5-7 years of discipleship (more or less depending on the need) the missionary is praying that God would call one of his students to become the pastor of that church. Once God has provided that Pastor, the missionary will begin to plant another church (sometimes multiple churches at once) in a different location.

It is a continuous, Biblical process that is modeled after the Book of Acts. The Howard Family leaves for Utah on August 1st. They will spend the remainder of 2022 with a missionary family that has planted a church a couple hours North of St. George. Starting in January, the Howard family will begin their efforts to start their own church in St. George, Utah. Our partnership with the Howard family will help to financially support this family of 4, along with the needs of the church that will be started. We will not only financially support this family, but we will also be able take groups from our church to assist their missionary efforts as the opportunities arise.  Bryson Frix

We will be taking an offering immediately following both morning and night services to help both of these local family missionaries.  Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
